Wie viele Mapuche in Chile arbeitet auch Gina bei einer wohlhabenden Familie als Hausangestellte. Seit ihrer Kindheit wäscht sie die Wäsche anderer, putzt fremde Bäder und erzieht Kinder, die nicht ihre sind. Für das eigene Leben bleibt kaum Zeit, doch Gina findet Kraft in ihren Wurzeln und versucht, ihren Weg bewusst zu gehen.
Like many Mapuche in Chile Gina also works as a housemaid in a well-off family. Since her childhood she has been washing the clothes of others, cleaning their bathrooms and raising kids, who aren’t her own. There is only little time left for herself but Gina draws strength from her cultural roots and consciously follows her way through life.
